Postdoctoral Scholar Jo works for the snakebites project in Sri Lanka. ResearchGate | Google scholar Email: [email protected] |
Amir Lewin
PhD candidate Amir is working on the impacts of water subsidies on LUCC in arid regions at global and local scales. His masters thesis work was on global patterns and drivers of species richness. Email: amir[email protected] |
Noam Ben-Moshe
PhD candidate Noam’s main interest is biodiversity conservation. He has background in both marine biology and terrestrial biology. He has wide range of experiences in conservation and ecology. His work on rock hyrax and sandlies, which causes leishmania disease expansion in urban areas in Jerusalem region is featured in the news papers and National geographic. Email: [email protected] |
Shirly Elbaz
PhD candidate Shirly works on sandfly distribution in Israel. She also works for Lior Orshan's epidemology lab at the Ministry of Health. Co-supervised with Dr Lior Orshan, the Ministry of Health |

Dana Levy
MSc. student Dana is working on historical land use change under different climate zones (Mediterranean - arid zones) and its impacts on status of biodiversity in Israel. News: She successfully graduated her degree in Dec. 2017. Congratulations! Co-supervised with Prof. Noam Levin, Hebrew University Email: [email protected] |
Adriana Guzman Holst
MPH (Global Health) candidate at School of Public Health, Imperial College London (Co-supervising with Dr Kris Murray at ICL) Adriana is fascinated by interconnectivity between human health and climate change research, specifically by how environmental and social factors are shifting the distribution of tropical infectious diseases. Therefore, she is currently researching infectious disease risk assessments under a changing climate. NEWS: Adriana successfully graduates with the High Merit distiction. Congratulations! Dr Yaara Aharon-Rotman
Postdoctoral Scholar Yaara’s main interest is avian migration. In particular she is interested in stopover ecology and how animals prepare themselves for long flights. In light of recent global changes, she has also evaluated the physiological responses of migratory birds to varying environmental conditions both at individual and population levels. Her project in the lab is evaluating the impacts of environmental changes in Africa on the migrants flying through Israel. ResearchGate | Google scholar | Personal webpage Email: [email protected] |
